1978        Began teaching at home

1980-86    Studied Piano with Ffrancon Davies, Audrey White & Stefan Ammer

1980-82    Studied Violin with Cornelius Dorsman, Played 1st & 2nd Violin with FESO (Further Education Symphony Orchestra)

                Conductor Richard Hornung, Leader of 2nd Violins in 1982 & Orchestral Librarian

1984         Became a member of Accompanist' Guild of South Australia

1986         Taught Piano at various primary schools

1987         Piano tutor at Special Interest Music Schools for Education Dept (Brighton High School & Marryatville High School)

1987         Piano tutor at Malvern Music School 

1988         Established Allegro Music with sister Mary Raptis at 594 South Road Glandore

1990         Member of Australian Guild of Music & Speech (AGMS)

1999         Appointed Examiner and CEO of the Australian Guild of Music & Speech (AGMS)

2007         Allegro relocates to 116 Anzac Hwy Glandore

2011         Appointed Examiner with Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB)

2013         Council member MTASA, Committee member AGSA & Member Recitals Aust

2016         Australasian Pedagogy 2017 Committee

2024         Allegro Music  Celebrating 36 years of Music Education

My teaching career now spans over 46 years. During that time I have enjoyed inspiring, developing and nurturing students of all ages to achieve to the best of their ability. Its not just about exams or competitions - I endevour to instil a love of music which students can aspire to their whole lives. At Allegro Music we are now teaching the children of our former students and seeing other students returning as adults to resume their love of music.........Mission accomplished!
